He has worked alongside respected artists, including Matt Knoegel, Lila Bloom, and Jamie, shaping albums like “Cloud Nova” and “Daring Two Be” into rich tapestries of modern jazz. Davis’s music displays a strong sense of melody, in both his solo work and group projects, and each release reflects his ongoing exploration of genre and sound.

Tony Davis’ new record titled “Jessamine” is a deeply personal and stylistically expansive jazz album set to be officially released on November 14, 2025. The album features 10 songs with a total duration of about 20 minutes and was released under La Reserve Records. “Jessamine” is named after the street on which Tony Davis grew up, symbolizing a musical homecoming and a return to his origins.
The record embodies a sense of home and personal history, blending contemporary jazz with elements of Latin traditions, folk, rock, and classical music. It includes contributions from longtime friends and musicians Jonathan Barber (drums) and Matt Dwonszyk (bass), who played significant roles in Tony’s early musical development. The album also features compositions influenced by his deep roots in jazz and blues, making it a heartfelt homage to his upbringing and the city of Hartford, where he grew up.
The album’s songs serve as keepsakes that reflect memories, influences, and experiences that shaped Davis as an artist. This project is not just music but a narrative retelling of his life’s journey and a tribute to the artistic environment provided by his jazz musician parents. The record release was preceded by a special show on October 5, 2025, at Real Art Ways in Hartford
