“Radiolove” is the title track from Tanukichan’s 2016 album. As an artist often associated with shoegaze and dream pop, Tanukichan creates a sound that is both atmospheric and melodic, characterized by hazy vocals and lush instrumentation. This song, released on August 19, 2016, contributes a dreamy, ethereal quality to the “Scenic Route” playlist, inviting listeners into a richly textured sonic world.
Tanukichan is the captivating musical project of Oakland, California’s Hannah van Loon, a classically-trained artist who found her unique sound by blending her early influences with a love for “dad rock” bands like The Beatles and Incubus. Since 2016, she’s been a prominent voice in modern shoegaze and dream pop, often collaborating with Grammy-nominated chillwave pioneer Chaz Bear of Toro y Moi on releases like the Radiolove EP (2016), her breakout debut LP Sundays (2018), and the sophomore album GIZMO (2023)
