The Giulio Gari Foundation, established in 2002 by Gloria Gari, Licia Albanese, and Stephen De Maio, is a New York-based nonprofit dedicated to discovering and supporting young classical singers. Named in honor of renowned tenor Giulio Gari, the foundation furthers his legacy by offering financial assistance, mentorship, and performance opportunities to emerging opera talents. Central to its mission is the annual Giulio Gari International Vocal Competition, which has awarded over $800,000 to promising artists, many of whom have gone on to perform on major opera stages worldwide.Through its programs, the foundation plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of opera stars and ensuring the future of the art form.
