We loved them 30 years ago. But what are they up to now? Great bands… new songs… yes – this show is really that good!!!

It is a simple idea. We love these bands. And they kept on making stunning music without us. Not fair! Let’s catch up with some truly great music – made recently.

It’s a Simple Idea… and oh so fun.

I love to celebrate music that is wonderful… and slightly unloved. To make discoveries. Sometimes a band just falls out of favor. OK – a lot of times a band just falls out of favor. They are just as good as ever, but our collective attention just moves on. So this is a chance to address that.

The Fixx

The Fixx are an English rock band from London, England founded in 1979. The band’s hits include “One Thing Leads to Another”, “Saved by Zero”, “Are We Ourselves?”, and “Secret Separation”, each of which charted on U.S. Top 20 Billboard Hot 100, as well as mainstream rock chart hits “Red Skies”, “Stand or Fall”, “Driven Out” and “Deeper and Deeper”, which was featured on the soundtrack of the 1984 film Streets of Fire

In 2002, the Fixx performed  Nancy Sinatra’s 1960s classic “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” for an album of cover versions of songs from the 1960s to 1990s called When Pigs Fly.

In 2003, the band released their ninth studio album, Want That Life.  Gary Tibbs(formerly a member of Roxy Music, The Vibrators and Adam and the Ants) played bass for this album.

With the classic lineup back intact, the Fixx released their 10th studio album Beautiful Friction on 17 July 2012. The Fixx regularly tour the world.
